Dennis Colbert/Media Director

Dennis is a 45-year advertising and media veteran. He has placed millions of media dollars in every major California ADI over the years. He is a master at planning, buying and analyzing media for Ward clients. Dennis spends client dollars "as if they were his own." His personal relationships with top station management has enabled him to work directly with the decision-makers to garner the best packages available. He works fast, under intense deadline situations, and is always ready to make last minute changes and revisions in the media plan, as needed. His signature approach has increased efficiencies, improved results and saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars in media costs over the years.

Always responsive and cognizant of current media rates in the market, Dennis works tirelessly to bring in the best deal for the client. He has often placed client spots in the Super Bowl, major league playoff games and the Olympics for pennies on the dollar because of his fast action, good relationships and constant communication with the media. Dennis is also known for negotiating "added value" to every media buy. This includes no-charge promotional tags, sponsorships and bonus spots in desirable day parts and programming.

Dennis began his career with the CBS television affiliate, KXTV Channel 10, in Sacramento in 1960. Later he moved to the ABC affiliate, KOVR Channel 13, as the company's Director of Advertising and Promotions. Over the years, his talents led him into sales and finally into sales management. His total broadcast background encompassed 21 years before he opened his own advertising agency in the early eighties. The agency later became one of the fastest growing full service shops in Northern California.
